Your MINISTRY AND INVESTORS

Your MINISTRY AND INVESTORS.

Sorry I used the word ‘investors’, it’s deliberate. I am speaking in terms of GIVERS who mostly are not church members.

Ministries should have partners, fellow workers, Co workers, burden sharers. Not just folks who pop on your Facebook account and decide to invest in your ministry for personal reasons.

Some folks begin to sound authoritative the moment they INVEST in your ministry.

They begin to direct you on what should be done or shouldn’t be done, like ministry is some kind of business venture, like they are stakeholders of some sort, like some shareholders.

Many people take this investor posture for the many reasons.

1. Many folks just want to ease the burden of their guilt by putting their money in a particular ministry. They want to feel like ‘i have not spent all my money on vanities, I also support God’s work’.

2. Many folks want to be able to call the shot in a young ministry and have a say as the ministry grows, they want a Pastor who is a puppet who can do a lot for them as life goes on.

3. Some are tired of many big ministries, they see them as thieves etc, thus, they need a young ministry to plant their money as a means of vendetta against those ministries, like folks who invest in smaller politicians with prospects because older ones are rogues or have dissapointed them or are uncontrollable by them.

4. Some love you because you belong to a clique, you have a particular body language they would love to fund. The moment you outgrow that clique and change that body posture, their investment ends. 😁

…………………………………….

But what kind of Financial partners are really suppose to have?!

3 John 1:5-7 (KJV) Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
Because that for his name’s sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.

Men given to CHARITY. Faithfully?! No ulterior motives.

MEN GIVEN TO PROPAGATING THE GOSPEL WITH THEIR FINANCE WITHOUT PERSONAL EGO TO MASSAGE.

JUST OUT OF LOVE AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE GOSPEL.

As you grow in ministry, always discern your GIVERS, are they INVESTORS or TRUE GIVERS?!

Let no one with ulterior motives turn your ministry to their EGO-FEEDER.

Let no one turn your ministry into their PUPPETRY.

Discern THE MOTIVE AND PSYCHOLOGY OF YOUR ‘INVESTORS’.

Stay with God’s will, in spite of who stays with you or leaves.

Blessed.
