One of the worst things you can do to your life…
Dear single,
One of the worst things you can do to your life is to marry a man or woman who does not fear the Lord.
It is a very dangerous thing to do.
A man or woman like that will see nothing wrong with, and will feel good doing evil to you and others.
I dare say that most marital problems today are rooted in a lack of the fear of God.
A man or woman who commits adultery, beats their spouse, curses them, betrays them, sexually abuses their kids, etc is not being controlled by the fear of God.
Many people like this have infected their spouses with incurable STDs due to their promiscuity.
Others have beaten their spouses to death.
So, while a cute masculine form is nice to look at, and while her pretty face might be attractive to you, my brother and sister, without the fear of God, you are heading for disaster.
Or, don’t you want peace in your home?
You don’t want to be married to somebody you can trust completely?
You don’t want to be married to a person who recognises that your union with them is a covenant?
You don’t want a spouse who sees treating you well and doing right by you a divine instruction?
You don’t want to be married to a man/woman who is completely transparent, open, and has strong family values?
These are the things you should focus more on and not just his 6 packs.
These are the issues.
A good marriage will add value to your life while a bad marriage will cause you sorrow and pain.
Don’t take your choice of a life partner lightly.
And this is yet another reason I am vehemently against premarital sex.
Sexual feelings are very beautiful feelings and once you start enjoying sex with a person, it gets more difficult to cut them off.
The good feelings of sex will blind you to flaws you should never overlook.
Let sex wait till marriage.
Do things properly.
Sow the right seeds.
Marriage is no child’s play.
Believe it or not, but the kind of marriage you have will influence your life in so many ways.
Don’t take your choice of a life partner lightly.
A lot depends on it.
You will choose well in Jesus’ name.
You are blessed.
